Summary
This position is responsible for providing psychosocial assessments, interventions, treatment and discharge planning to patients and families. Collaborates and communicates with the healthcare team and involves the patient/family in the plan of care. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Master s degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
Must have at least one (1) year of professional practice (Social Work internships considered practice), preferably in healthcare.
Licensure as a Master Social Worker by the state(s) in which is performed.

Physical Requirements

- Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations; may be required to take call for nights/weekends on a rotating schedule.
