Operations ManagerDuties and ResponsibilitiesoThis position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the direction and management of operations and business of the Kitting Manufacturing.
oEnsure the Dept.
provides accurate and complete Kitting AssemblyoResponsible for planning/coordination of 1st shift or 2nd shift activities.
oAreas of supervision include Quarter Pallet (QP) Lines 1, 2, 3; Conversion and Kitting Manufacturing.
oMust be proficient with PC spreadsheets.
Requires ability to create Excel tables.
May also require working some 1st or 2nd shift to fill in, train, etc.
oProvide direction for Dept.
functions:
receiving, material movement, including domestic and foreign freight shipments, assembly and conversion, shipping, inventory control, housekeeping, training, discipline, employee development, and safety in accordance with state and federal regulations and Milwaukee policies/procedures.

oCollaborate with managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of the facility and corporation.
oFoster an environment of continuous improvement resulting in continually improving kitting assembly process flow for distribution to customers.
oEvaluate employee performance, recommend appropriate corrective actions, recommends/maintains adequate staffing levels to respond to fluctuating workloads.
oAssist in maintaining all Dept.
metrics that track performance relating to customer service, quality, and cost.
oPerform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience RequirementsoBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
oEffective interpersonal and leadership skills in addition to supervisory experience and awareness of basic personnel practices.
oEffective verbal and written communication skills are essential and demonstrated computer literacy.
