Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable, robust, and reliable complex manufacturing processes to achieve cost, quality, and throughput goals and objectives.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities Provide engineering support to all areas of the Byhalia Kitting and Manufacturing Center to drive out waste and drive efficiencies in support of budget and cost savings (VE).
Develop innovative solutions; implement sustainable, robust, and reliable complex manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical skills, knowledge, and experience in process evaluation tools:
statistical data analysis, risk analysis, flow layout and other related engineering tools.
Work with Management team on lean projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Help to develop capital expenditure plan, including identifying, justifying, and implementing projects.
Provide monitoring and support of the Manufacturing Areas.
Evaluate space planning and utilization on an ongoing basis.
Assist in implementing layout changes where needed.
Evaluate new technology as it relates to Kitting and Manufacturing operations on an ongoing basis to ensure the facility is taking full advantage of advances.
Provide support on product launch projects and ownership of the VIGOR New Product Introduction Process for all new builds or transfers from other locations to support Design for Manufacturability, Flow, and Quality.
Full ownership of Manufacturing Routes:
Time Studies and entry into AX (MRP) system Full ownership of creation of work instructions for all products and support of technical documented knowledge for KMF's build packs.
Participate in special projects to include product resets, rework, kit conversions, etc.
Support Management team on cost reduction projects on supplies, process flow, floor layout, automation, etc.
Research and evaluate new technologies and breakthrough processes to accelerate competitive manufacturing advantage.
Provide what-if scenarios to find best total cost solutions with financial impacts with emphasis on delivery timelines.
Work with and lead development with equipment suppliers to deliver customer processing solutions to achieve goals and objectives.
Lead mid-level manufacturing projects, providing direction, guidance, and engineering expertise to team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication to make formal presentations regarding project status to team and management.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team environment and challenge status quo with respect to drive the best solutions for the business.
Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in operating environment, preferably DC or Manufacturing operations.
Continuous Improvement knowledge or experience.
