QC Lab Technician - 1st Shift (Mon - Thur)

Olive Branch, MS Olive Branch, MS Full-time Full-time 11 hours ago 11 hours ago 11 hours ago Position Summary The QC Lab Technician performs chemical analysis and testing on chemical raw materials and in-process and finished batches according to methods and specifications as defined by the customer.
This position will also assist with compiling, analyzing and interpreting results as well as maintaining the flow of samples and paperwork through the laboratory.
The role reports to the QA Supervisor.
Responsibilities Perform chemical analysis on raw materials, batches, and finished products using analytical laboratory equipment, wet chemistry techniques, and any other methodology/equipment required to accomplish task.
Follow established test method analytical procedures as required employing various laboratory methodologies and instrumentation.
Assist with creating new test methods as needs arise.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and methodologies when mechanical or procedural difficulties occur.
Work directly with vendors and customers as necessary to resolve issues.
Validate newly developed methods and perform method transfer activities to meet cGMP procedures under the direction of the QA Manager.
Perform micro sampling and testing of finished goods and bulk for product release.
Maintain accurate records and notebooks of analysis and work performed.
Maintain accuracy and reliability of all laboratory instruments.
Provide technical assistance and necessary documentation to Compounding, Production, Documentation and Scheduling Departments as needed.
Comply with all customer requirements.
Responsible for all QC sampling/testing of incoming chemical materials, in process and finished product.
Ensure lab test equipment is properly calibrated at all times, and before conducting any testing.
Maintain raw material information flow between the QC laboratory and Scheduling.
Follow assigned procedures for processing laboratory reports, documentation, customer paperwork, and any other clerical laboratory function.
Perform a first check on all incoming raw materials to verify trade name, manufacturer, certificate of analysis values, etc.
Conduct investigations for raw materials, packaging components and finished products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in science, preferably chemistry.
At least 1 year' experience in an analytical laboratory.
Will consider comparable experience in lieu of degree.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and Adobe.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance Concepts helpful.
Knowledge of establishing and controlling manual and electronic filing systems.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to follow both verbal and written instruction.
Must have good organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
